Utah Opera Resident Artist Program Auditions

USUO’s Resident Artist Program is your bridge from graduate studies to a career. From September to May, Resident Artist singers and pianists spend nine months developing professionally through mainstage performances with USUO, expert coaching, workshops, and masterclasses.

Resident Artists serve as the primary, in-person ambassadors for opera and artistry in communities across Utah—especially in K-12 schools statewide. Preparing and performing programs for Utah’s students means we’re looking for individuals who are collaborative, engaging, friendly, and technically proficient—artists committed to their own growth, invested in a cooperative environment, and equally invested in the education of others.

You’ll work under the guidance of USUO’s Opera Education Manager, Principal Coach, and Vice President of Education and Community Engagement, sharing your talent with our staff, board, and donors—and with some of Utah’s most diverse audiences as you travel the state.
