The Costume Design of Little Women
Our Resident Designer, Susan Memmott-Allred had a different perspective when designing the costumes for Little Women. Instead of designing costumes, she wanted to reproduce the real clothes that young women would have worn during the time period. To do that she did extensive research and sketching, and the costume shop used many washing and dying techniques to reproduce the clothing. In this video, Sue shares some of her thoughts and illustrations of the design.
